5 ECTS-Credits are to be passed from elective modules 1 - 2. 5 ECTS-Credits are to be passed from elective modules 3 to 7. Students of the Bachelor's Programme Philosophy may not pass elective module 3. Students of the Bachelor's Programme Archaeologies may not pass elective modules 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Elective Module 1: Highlights of Greek Literature (5 ECTS-Credits; 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Graduates of this module possess a basic knowledge of the most important authors in Greek literature and know their works in excerpts (in translation). They are able to relate these texts to their historical and cultural context and are familiar with the essential characteristics of the literary genera concerned.
Elective Module 4: Greek Archaeology of the Classical Period (5 ECTS-Credits; 2h) (no courses)

Learning Outcome: Acquisition of a sound basic knowledge and exemplary in-depth knowledge of Greece during the classical period
Elective Module 5: Greek Archaeology of Hellenism (5 ECTS-Credits; 2h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Acquisition of a sound basic knowledge and exemplary in-depth knowledge of Greece during the Hellenistic period
Elective Module 6: Roman Archaeology of the Republican Period (5 ECTS-Credits; 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Acquisition of a sound basic knowledge and exemplary in-depth knowledge of pre-Roman Italy and the Roman time to the end of the Republic.
Elective Module 7: Roman Archaeology of the Imperial Period (5 ECTS-Credits; 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Acquisition of a sound basic knowledge and exemplary in-depth knowledge of the Roman Imperial Period to Late Antiquity.
