Elective Modules (20 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: Students of the Bachelor's Programme German Philology may not select elective modules 1 and 4, students of the Bachelor's Programme Linguistics may not select elective modules 2, 3 and 8. Students of the Bachelor's Programme Slavonic Studies, French, Italian and Spanish may not select elective module 4.

Elective Module 3: Writing for Public Relations and Businesses (7.5 ECTS-Credits; 3h) (no courses)

Learning Outcome: Basic text writing and editing skills for corporate practice
Elective Module 4: Fundamentals of Media Studies (5 ECTS-Credits; 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students are able to scientifically name and appropriately assess the basic terms used in media studies. They are able to give an overview of central questions, approaches and results in media research and having gained an insight into the methods of media analysis, they are able to recognise, describe and critically analyse them.
Elective Module 5: Media Research and Media Practice (5 ECTS-Credits; 3 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students are able to present selected topics of media research, discuss their approaches
and results and try out practical media skills.
Elective Module 7: Text Editing (5 ECTS-Credits; 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students are able to recognise and interpret questions of German studies practice and transfer them to the planning and implementation of concrete profession-related tasks and evaluate their solution.
Elective Module 8: Gender Studies (5 ECTS-Credits; 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students understand issues relating to language and gender and are able to independently recognise phenomena in language system and use and to analyse them by applying theoretical concepts.
