Elective Module 5: Biochemistry (12.5 ECTS-Credits, 10 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students acquire in-depth knowledge of objects and methods in research in biochemis-try and genetic engineering. Main focus is on in-depth study of chemical and biological characteristics of nucleic acids and proteins, the most important biomolecules in relation to the flow of the genetic information. Knowledge for applying methods of biochemis-try and genetic engineering for issues in medicine are also imparted, especially on the molecular basics of physiological and pathophysiological processes and the application of structure-biological approaches for determining the functioning of biomolecules.
