Learning Outcome: Students have exemplary knowledge of the worldwide interconnections of historical developments and the interdependencies between historical micro and macro levels. They can substantiate and critically discuss the special epistemological opportunities of global or small-scale perspectives on history on the basis of selected examples. Furthermore, they are able to argue the linkage of empirical research to questions in the theory of science or to social and political framework conditions on the basis of central paradigms.
