Elective Module 14: Latin Reading (20 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Based on their translation skills, students also develop the competence to read Latin texts. They study in-depth strategies useful for interpreting texts to reach a global understanding. They are able to read long passages of Latin works and to translate their contents. In doing so they get an insight into several important Latin texts and can relate them to their knowledge in literary history. At the same time, they consolidate their skills for metrically analysing antique poetry and advanced their vocabulary.
