Learning Outcome: The students are able to explain and discuss the origin, development and spread of Islamic philosophy as well as its contribution to the history of philosophy and its significance for the present. They can justify and discuss human beings and their position in the world both from an Islamic theological point of view and from the perspective of other disciplines in a context-related and gender-sensitive manner. They are able to substantiate the ethical responsibility of human beings from Islamic sources at an advanced level and to transfer it contextually.
