Elective Module 1: Common Themes in Electrical Engineering 1 (10 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of the Studies Induction and Orientation Stage.
Learning Outcome: Students
- are able to apply the acquired knowledge and their acquired competences in some fields of electrical engineering for the correct solution of practical problems.
- are familiar with the necessary theoretical foundations, methods and theories and know their possible applications and limitations.
- are able to adequately document and discuss acquired results and solutions.
- can make simple technical drawings by hand. They have basic knowledge of standard technical drawing and engineering. They can create simple parts with 3D CAD Systems.

COURSES
Elective Module: Skills from other Disciplines (7.5 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: The prerequisites specified by the respective curricula must be met.
Learning Outcome: Students have qualifications which enable them to join the scientific discourse constructively, responsibly and sensitively towards gender aspects, also beyond the boundaries of their own discipline.
Teaching units up to 7.5. ECTS-Credits of the curricula for the BA study programme installed at the University of Innsbruck can be selected freely. It is particularly recommended to attend a teaching unit in which gender aspects, including the specialist results of Women's and Gender Research, are dealt with. (e.g. Gender aspects in technology); furthermore, teaching units to acquire language and social competences are recommended; in addition to that, teaching units are recommended that deal with aspects of security technology (legal basics, work and production security) in mechatronics.
