Compulsory Module 1: Theories of Gender Relations (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students have knowledge of central social science theories of gender studies. They will be able to differentiate between central concepts and issues of theoretical gender studies, including body, subject, sexuality, violence, politics and economics. They are able to classify the significance of gender as a fundamental structural category in social contexts and can also recognise the interaction of gender, race, class, dis/ability and heteronormativity. They have knowledge of the connectivity of gender studies to disciplines in the humanities, cultural studies, social sciences and economics.
