INFO Master's Programme Philosophy at Faculties of Catholic Theology according to the Curriculum 2009 (120 ECTS-Credits, 4 Semesters)
Elective Module (22.5 ECTS-Credits)
Students must complete elective modules totalling 22.5 ECTS-Credits. Depending on the subject area of the Master Thesis, one of the elective modules 1 to 3 is to be chosen. In addition, students must choose elective modules 3a and 3b, elective module 4, elective modules 5 and 6 or elective module 7.
Elective Module 1: History of Philosophical Problems II (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Ability to academically discuss selected topics from the history of philosophy, utilizing the results of most recent research with regard to developing one's master thesis.

Learning Outcome: Having successfully completed the module, students have advanced specialist knowledge of the dissertation topic as well as of the methododical skills required for writing the dissertation.
Courses, as defined in the dissertation agreement, related to the subject of the dissertation covering 12 ECTS-Credits, two of which must be seminars covering a minimum of 4 ECTS-Credits each, must be passed.

Zur individuellen Schwerpunktsetzung sind Module aus den Curricula der an der Universität Innsbruck eingerichteten Master- und/oder Diplomstudien im Umfang von 20 ECTS-AP frei zu wählen. Empfohlen werden Module aus fachnahen Bereichen, beispielsweise aus dem Masterstudium Philosophie an der Katholisch-Theologischen Fakultät, oder aus Bereichen, die mit dem Thema der Masterarbeit in Zusammenhang stehen.
