INFO Master's Programme Materials Sciences and Nanosciences according to the curriculum 2008 (120 ECTS-Credits, 4 semesters)
Compulsory Modules in the disciplines Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Mineralogy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Physics, Ion Physics, Building and Engineering Sciences and Theoretical Materials Sciences.
Compulsory Modules (65 ECTS-Credits)
Compulsory Module 5: Mechanical Properties (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students are able to characterise the structure and micro-structure of materials and the resulting mechanical properties. Moreover, they learn about the underlying chemical and physical processes in the production process and the resulting possibilities of a targeted manipulation of mechanical material behaviour. They are able to apply experimental methods for recording microstructures and determining mechanical parameters.
