Elective Modules in Advanced Specialisation (20 ECTS-Credits)
Elective Module 8: Degradation of Materials and Analysis of Damage (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students learn about central issues of material engineering in relation to the durability of materials and damage analysis for determining and describing underlying damage mechanisms. The students are able to model and simulate mechanically-, chemically- and thermally-induced damaging processes and to validate the models and results won with experimental methods.
