Learning Outcome: After successful completion of this module, students have scientifically well-founded and professional knowledge of the structure and functionality of the EU (Union law), the legal system of the EU, including its relationships to the national law of its memberships, illustrated by Austria; legal protection and the protection of fundamental rights in the EU, the EU internal market with its four fundamental freedoms, legal harmonization based on selected fields as well as the main features of the EU's competitive law. This knowledge imparts the ability to systematically comprehend the entire Union law and simple legal issues of the Union.

Learning Outcome: Nach Absolvierung dieses Moduls verfügen die Studierenden über wissenschaftlich fundierte und berufsbezogene Kenntnisse, die im Allgemeinen die Charakteristika, die Grundlagen, die Rechtsquellen und die Rechtssubjekte des Völkerrechts, das Verhältnis zwischen Völkerrecht und nationalem Recht der Staaten sowie die Grundzüge des Menschenrechtsschutzes betreffen sowie im Besonderen die Grundlagen des Internationalen Wirtschaftsrechts, ua das Recht der Welthandelsorganisation (WTO), zum Gegenstand haben. Diese Kenntnisse vermitteln die Fähigkeit, das Völkerrecht und das Internationale Wirtschaftsrecht systematisch zu erfassen und einfache völkerrechtliche Problemstellungen zu lösen.

Das Wirtschaftsrecht der Europäischen Union
Learning Outcome: Die TeilnehmerInnen kennen die wesentlichen Inhalte des EU-Binnenmarktes und können sowohl die vier Grundfreiheiten (Waren-, Personen-, Dienstleistungs- und Kapitalverkehr) als auch die Rechtsharmonisierung vertieft und fallbezogen darstellen. Weiters kennen sie die den Binnenmarkt flankierenden Wettbewerbsregeln, insbesondere das Kartellverbot, das Marktmissbrauchsverbot, die Fusionskontrolle, das Beihilfenregime sowie die Sonderregelungen für öffentliche Unternehmen und Unternehmen der Daseinsvorsorge. Ebenso verfügen sie über ein umfangreiches Wissen in wichtigen Politikbereichen der EU, die jeweils nach Aktualität ausgewählt werden. Dazu gehören die Wirtschafts- und Währungsunion, die Umweltpolitik, die Verkehrspolitik sowie wichtige Bereiche des Raums der Freiheit, der Sicherheit und des Rechts.
