Master's Programme Banking and Finance according to the Curriculum 2007 (120 ECTS-Credits, 4 semesters)

Compulsory Modules according to § 7 par. 1 (65 ECTS-Credits)
Compulsory Module 6: Corporate Finance (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of the courses referred to in § 7 (1) 2 to 5.
Learning Outcome: An understanding of central problems in the field of corporate finance and the competence to solve them, with a focus on the areas of capital structure decisions, the application of investment criteria under uncertainty, along with implications of the principalagent theory.
Compulsory Module 12: Research Colloquium for Master Thesis (5 ECTS-Credits, 1 h)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of two elective courses referred to in § 7 (2).
Learning Outcome: Having completed the research colloquium, students are able to create the concept of a scientific study, to write it, and to present research results in different contexts.
