Minors (Complementary Subject Areas) für Bachelor's Programmes at the University of Innsbruck
Minor: Eastern European Studies (30 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: (1) The Minor Eastern European Studies covering 30 ECTS-Credits may be selected by regular degree students of bachelor's programmes at the University of Innsbruck if the respective curriculum provides the possibility to pass a Minor. (2) The individual modules and courses of the Minor Eastern European Studies may be studied, providing the availability of places.
Learning Outcome: Graduates of the Minor Eastern European Studies have language skills in Russian or Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian or Polish at level A1/A2. They have an overview knowledge of the Slavic languages and cultures of Eastern, East-Central and South-Eastern Europe as well as specialised knowledge of the history, society, art or politics of this region.
Elective Modules (30 ECTS-Credits)
One elective module covering 10 ECTS-Credits is to be passed from elective modules 1, 2 or 3. Students of the Bachelor's Programme Slavonic Studies select the third Slavonic language, elective module 2 or 3, depending on their preselection in the Bachelor's Programme Slavonic Studies. In addition, elective modules covering altogether 10 ECTS-Credits are to be passed from elective modules 4 to 17. Courses that have a clear reference to Eastern/Central or South-Eastern Europe and are marked accordingly in the course catalogue may be selected. In addition, the following applies: - Students of the Bachelor's Programme Political Science may not select elective modules 4 and 5. - Students of the Bachelor's Programme Sociology may not select elective module 6. - Students of the Bachelor's Programme History may not select elective modules 7 - 9. - Students of the Bachelor's Programme Art History may not select elective modules 10 - 14. - Students of the Bachelor's Programme Slavonic Studies may not select elective modules 15 - 17.
