Minor: Digital Humanities (DH) (30 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: (1) The Minor "Digital Humanities" covering 30 ECTS-Credits can be selected by regular degree students of bachelor¿s programmes at the University of Innsbruck if the respective curriculum provides for the opportunity to pass a Minor.
(2) The Minor may be passed providing the availability of places.
Learning Outcome: (1) Graduates of the Minor Digital Humanities have acquired the theoretical basic knowledge of computer-based applications and information technology procedures in the humanities and cultural studies.
(2) Graduates have advanced knowledge of the most common methods in Digital Humanities as well as their fields of application and can put them into practice.
(3) Graduates are able to recognise the opportunities and challenges associated with digitisation, to explain and contrast them. They are able to analyse problems about the impact of the digital transformation of society as well as the humanities and cultural studies, to recognise relevant contextual factors and to critically assess them.
