Compulsory module 10: Fundamentals of European and International Business Law (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: The students know the essential legal sources of European and international business law. They understand their relationship to each other and to national business law. They have a sound knowledge of selected areas of European business law, in particular EU internal market law, and have mastered important basics of international business law, especially the core contents of WTO law. They are able to apply this knowledge to business and economic problems.

Compulsory Module 4: European Law (8 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students have in-depth knowledge of the structure and functioning of the EU, the legal order of the EU (Union Law) including its relationship to the national law of the Member States, using Austria as an example, as well as legal protection and the protection of fundamental rights in the EU. They master the basic features of EU internal market law as well as legal harmonisation in selected areas of EU business law and the basic features of EU competition law. The students are able to solve complex legal questions independently and to critically question the solutions.

Der dritte Studienabschnitt besteht aus
1. gebundenen Wahlfächern gemäß §§ 10 und 11 im Ausmaß von 30 ECTS-AP,
2. freien Wahlfächern im Ausmaß von 11,5 ECTS-AP und
3. der Diplomarbeit im Ausmaß von 21,5 ECTS-AP.
Gebundene Wahlfächer sind im folgenden Ausmaß zu wählen:
1. 10 ECTS-AP aus ein und demselben Wahlfächerkorb gemäß § 10,
2. weitere 10 ECTS-AP aus den Wahlfächerkörben gemäß § 10 sowie
3. weitere 10 ECTS-AP aus den Wahlfächerkörben gemäß § 10 oder aus einzelnen Wahlfächern gemäß § 11.

Learning Outcome: Having passed this module, students have a scientifically grounded and job-related knowledge relating to the characteristics, the fundamentals, the legal sources and subjects of the Public International Law, the relationship between Public International Law and International Law of states as well as the fundamentals of Human Rights in general, as well as the fundamental of International Economic Law and the regulations of the Word Trade Organisation (WTO) in particular.
This knowledge enables the students to systematically grasp Public International Law and International Business Law and solve simple problems relating to Public International Law.
