Compulsory Module 1: Introduction to Business Law I (12 ECTS-Credits, 8 h)

Learning Outcome: Students have knowledge of the core areas of public law and private law, in particular the tiered structure of the legal system, the basics of constitutional law and administrative organisation as well as public law legal protection, furthermore the basics of the general part of civil law, the law of obligations and property law as well as company law. They know the principles of the respective procedural rights. They can handle the technique of subsumption and apply it to simple case constellations.
Compulsory Module 9: Public Business Law (8 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students have qualified knowledge of the national, European and international economic constitution, in particular the economic-related rules of the Federal Constitution, the economic core contents of primary Union law and the law of the World Trade Organisation. The students are also familiar with central areas of economic administrative law, in particular steering, trade and supervisory law. They are able to legally classify complex economic facts and to find solutions to legal problems based on them.

Learning Outcome: Die Studierenden verfügen über fundierte Kenntnisse der aktuellen höchstgerichtlichen Rechtsprechung (VwGH, VfGH, EuGH) im Öffentlichen Wirtschaftsrecht einschließlich deren unions- und verfassungsrechtlichen Bezüge, insbesondere in den Bereichen Vergabe-, Beihilfe-, Gewerbe- und Finanzmarktrecht. Sie sind in der Lage, die wichtigsten Judikaturentwicklungen im Öffentlichen Wirtschaftsrecht nachzuzeichnen und auf dieser Grundlage komplexe Rechtsfragen selbständig zu analysieren und zu lösen.
Die Studierenden sind befähigt, konkrete wirtschaftsverwaltungsrechtliche Sachverhalte eigenständig rechtlich zu beurteilen und Handlungsvorschläge zu erstatten.

Learning Outcome: Students that have passed the module understand the relationship between patients and the providers of health services and the resulting rights and duties.
They know in how far the civil law and public law protects the interest of the patients, especially if they need protection.
