Prerequisites for registration: positive evaluation of compulsory modules 1, 2 and 3

Learning Outcome: Students can explain the methods and theories of the subject-specific specialisation as well as explain the most important results in this research area with a focus on the selected aspects. They can independently research questions in the selected field of economic research, independently comprehend current articles and critically question the results. They can prepare and present topics in the selected current research field to an audience of experts. They have sufficient confidence in dealing with the relevant methods and can apply them independently to their own scientific questions.

Learning Outcome: Acquisition of an overall contextual knowledge of Economic and Social History based on key questions and aspects.

Learning Outcome: Acquisition of skills for dealing with historic sources and studies critically, as well as the competence to present the newly-gained knowledge verbally and/or in writing; Acquisition of the competence to apply methods of auxiliary sciences.

Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 1

Learning Outcome: Acquisition of basic skills for dealing with historic sources and presentations in Economic and Social History as well as skills in presenting the newly acquired knowledge orally as well as in writing. Acquisition of basic knowledge and application of relevant methods aiding scientific research.

Prerequisites for registration: one positively passed module from elective modules 7 to 12

Learning Outcome: Ability to independently make a research-based analysis and contextualisation of a topic in Economic and Social History according to scientific rules; skills to independently research and evaluate topic-relevant sources and secondary literature; consolidated skills in writing of historic papers (formulation, giving of reasons and defending arguments).

Learning Outcome: Acquisition of basic knowledge and an overview of economic and social history based on main issues and guidelines

Learning Outcome: Students deal with new themes in selected key areas. They understand and evaluate them as well as argument with regards to scientific dynamics and trends of the respective key areas. They understand the strengths and weaknesses of the different methodological approaches. They gain competences in independent formulating of questions and argumentations.

Learning Outcome: Students are able to recognise the relevance of gender issues in the context of (sustainable) economic and social development against the background of contemporary and historical globalisation processes and are able to interpret and discuss these. They can critically and independently argue questions in this field and recognise connections. They are able to independently identify and process the necessary information, produce their own results and present them in a comprehensible manner, assess the quality of the work of others and process feedback.

Learning Outcome: Students know the relevance of gender issues in the context of (sustainable) economic and social development against the background of contemporary and historic globalization processes. They are able to critically and independently analyse questions in this field and to establish interrelations.
