Elective modules corresponding to altogether 80 ECTS-Credits must be passed, whereby at least
two elective modules must be passed from elective modules no. 1, no. 2 and no.3, and at least one
module from elective modules no. 4, 5 and 6 as well as elective modules no. 7, no. 8 and no. 9.
In place of the elective module Interdisciplinary Skills (no. 10) and Individual Choice of Specialisation
(no. 11), complementary modules can be passed, providing the availability of places. Complementary
modules are specified modules from other curricula corresponding to 30 ECTS-Credits.

Minor: Interamerican Studies (30 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: (1) Das Wahlpaket "Interamerikanische Studien" kann von ordentlichen Studierenden der an der Universität Innsbruck eingerichteten Bachelorstudien gewählt werden, sofern im entsprechenden Curriculum die Möglichkeit, ein Wahlpaket zu absolvieren, vorgesehen ist.
(2) Die einzelnen Module und Lehrveranstaltungen des Wahlpakets ¿Interamerikanische Studien¿ können nach Maßgabe freier Plätze studiert werden.
(3) Studierende können eine Lehrveranstaltung entweder dem Fachstudium oder dem Wahlpaket zuordnen. Eine doppelte Zuordnung ist nicht zulässig.
(4) Vorkenntnisse in Englisch auf dem Niveau B2 nach dem Gemeinsamen Europäischen Referenzrahmen für Sprachen (GERS) werden vorausgesetzt.
Learning Outcome: Die Absolventinnen und Absolventen des Wahlpakets "Interamerikanische Studien" verfügen über ein Überblickswissen über zentrale Konzepte, Theorien und Problemfelder der Interamerikanischen Studien und über ein vertieftes Wissen in Bezug auf exemplarische literarische, (sozio-)kulturelle, mediale und sprachliche Phänomene der romanischsprachigen und anglophonen Amerikas. Sie kennen ausgewählte Aspekte der transnationalen und transkulturellen Verflechtungen in den Amerikas und können diese theoriegeleitet und in ihren verschiedenen geschichtlichen, soziokulturellen, politischen, ästhetischen sowie gender-, sprach- und varietätenspezifischen Kontexten analysieren.
Es sind folgende Pflichtmodule im Umfang von 20 ECTS-AP zu absolvieren. Studierende des Bachelorstudiums Anglistik und Amerikanistik absolvieren anstelle von Pflichtmodul 2 ein weiteres Wahlmodul.
