Job Description:
In this position you will carry out high quality research and specialise in a particular field. You will hold your own courses, tutor students, and participate in the university administration. The successful candidate will carry out the following main tasks:
• independent research activities in the field of information security, digital forensics, and privacy;
• independent teaching of courses including examinations;
• supervision of students incl. supervision of bachelor theses;
• participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures;
• continuing education.
Required qualifications:
• completed relevant doctoral or PhD degree;
• excellent knowledge in selected areas of information security, digital forensics, and privacy;
• proven publication experience;
• proven teaching skills;
• creativity and implementation skills;
• willingness to familiarize yourself with new complex topics and tools;
• excellent written and spoken English;
• proven experience in software development (esp. open source) is an advantage;
• German language skills are an advantage;
• leadership skills in dealing with student employees and/or project staff;
• communication skills in supervising students;
• enthusiasm for university research;
• reliability;
• ability to work in a team.

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for this position amounts to € 4.752 per month (14 times)*.
