
University Assistant (PhD position)

Extent of employment:
- 20 hours per week; will be increased to 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed
Job Description:
Your tasks:
- Doctoral thesis in timber engineering: structural timber construction with a focus on fastener technology
- Independent research as well as collaboration in subject-related publications, participation in the assessment of students, supervision of bachelor theses
- Independent teaching
- Training and further education
- Administrative tasks
Your profile:
- Completed master's or diploma degree in the field of civil engineering and relevant practical experience
- Please enclose written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
- Strong teamwork skills and constructive cooperation
- High level of written and spoken communication skills (German and English)
- Independent, structured and responsible way of working
- Motivating and appreciative supervision of students
- Maintaining contacts with industry representatives

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.857 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.785 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
