- 20 hours per week; will be increased to 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed
Job Description:
Your tasks:
- Dissertation in the field of urban water management, stormwater management and climate change adaptation
- Independent research in the field of urban water management
- Independent teaching
- Training and further education
- Administrative tasks
Your profile:
- Completed relevant Master's, Magister or Diplom degree in the field of civil or environmental engineering, environmental sciences, geography, spatial planning, hydrology or a related discipline
- Please enclose written considerations on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
- Knowledge of urban water management and climate change adaptation (heavy rainfall and heat islands) desirable
- Modelling experience in the field of drainage systems and hydrology
- Programming skills with MATLAB, Python or similar, as well as GIS knowledge an advantage
- Very good knowledge of German and English required
- Ability to work in a team with lecturers, institute staff and supervised students

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.857 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.785 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
