LFU:online is the student portal hosted by the University of Innsbruck. The web-based system enables students - among many other things - to book courses, check their exam results and get an overview of their student records.

Login
- You don't have an email account of the University of Innsbruck
If you don't have an email account of the University of Innsbruck, you have to create a LFU:online account. Enter your personal data and email address and create a password. You will then receive an email with a link to activate your account. As soon as you have activated your account, you can log into LFU:online with your user name (i.e. your email address) and your password.
Note: When you receive an email address of the University of Innsbruck (thus becoming a student or employee of the university), you can no longer log into LFU:online with your private email address. You must then use the user name (cxxxxx) provided by the university. - You have an email account of the University of Innsbruck
Please use the user name (cxxxxx) and password (mail password) provided by the IT centre (ZID). Students will get their user credentials upon their admission in the Admission Department and employees will receive the documents by mail at their work place.

LFU:online functionalities
LFU:online is divided into sections where you can find all data relevant for your studies.
Courses
Detailed catalogue of all courses offered by the university. Courses may be booked online if the relevant department has defined a booking period. For information on recommended courses consult your curriculum or contact the competent department.
My course bookingsThis is a list of all online course bookings. The booking status tells you if your booking request was confirmed or rejected.
My memo listThe memo list helps you to keep courses at your fingertip and thus makes your course plan easier to handle. The list contains the basic data of the courses saved in the list. Booking periods are displayed if the course can be booked at the moment. Courses will stay in the list until you delete them by clicking Delete from memo list.
Calendar exportHere you can export or subscribe to your appointments and your course dates.
Shopping basketSome courses are not for free. Use the shopping basket to pay the course tuition fee online.
Evaluation resultsThis is where you can find the results of course assessments made by students.
SOWI point bookingBooking courses at the SOWI faculties.
Overview booking periodsThis is a web form to filter available booking periods for courses and course exams.
Info booking periodsThis is an information on course booking periods for all faculties (German only).

My forms
My forms ist the communication interface to the University's administrative units: this is where online applications can be submitted and where the response of the competent unit is delivered.
New online applicationAll available online applications are displayed in the selection box Create new. Depending on the type of application one or more forms must be completed or documents uploaded. An online application can only be submitted if all necessary information has been entered.
The application is automatically delivered to the competent administrative unit. Submitted online applications are automatically placed in the folder Sent objects.
InboxMessages of the administrative units are delivered to the inbox. In case there are unread messages, the number of items is displayed. Read items can be moved to the archive. It is not possible to delete messages.
Sent objectsSubmitted online applications are automatically placed in the folder Sent objects. Inside the application there is detailed information on which department is currently processing the application. Items in this folder can neither be deleted nor archived.
ClipboardThe clipboard can be used to save online applications not yet submitted. Those applications can be completed and submitted at a later time. Applications can be deleted as long as they have not been submitted.
This is where processed applications and messages can be placed for good. It is not possible to delete any items.

My profile
My tuition fee
This section contains information on your tuition fee status and customer data. You may pay your tuition fee by the following means:
- With your student card and a cash card at a service point.
- With a payment form stating the correct customer code.
- By online Banking stating the correct customer code.
The exact amount of fees to be paid (incl. tuition fee, student union fee and accident and liability insurance fee) is displayed. Students whose tution fee depends on the stipulated duration of their studies will see all their study programmes and the overall duration of studies of each programme.
Your study programmes will be enrolled as soon as the tuition fee has been received by the University of Innsbruck. This may take several days due to delays in bank transfers. In case of problems please refer to the Admission Department.
A confirmation of payment can be retrieved in English or German for all semesters in which you have paid the correct amount of tuition fees to the University of Innsbruck. The confirmation contains the total and partial amounts of fees paid by you.
The confirmation of payment can be viewed as soon as proof of the payment of the tuition fee has been sent to University of Innsbruck by the national tuition fee register.

Under LFU:online > My profile > Personal data > Edit data you can check and change the data stored in the official student register. Please make sure that the postal addresses are correct and complete so that you will receive mail sent by postal services. By clicking the button Edit data you may edit your study and home address. You can find Austrian cities and ZIP codes by clicking Search and entering the ZIP code or the city. For all other changes in your personal data refer to the Admission Department. - You are an employee of the University of Innsbruck
Please use the forms provided by the Personnel Department. - You are neither student nor employee of the University of Innsbruck
Under LFU:online > My profile > Personal data you can check and change the data that you entered when you created your LFU:online account. You can change your email address and password under LFU:online > My profile > Account data.

Students get their user credentials upon their admission in the Admission Department and employees receive the documents by mail at their work place. For questions concerning your user credentials please contact the ZID-service of the IT centre (ZID). - You are neither student nor employee of the University of Innsbruck

Forgot your password?
If you have forgotten your password, enter your email address and you will be sent a link to create a new password.
Change password
After logging into LFU:online you can create a new password which has to be used from the next session on.
Change email address
After entering a new email address you will receive a link to activate the new email address.
Enter your private email address - once you leave the University of Innsbruck, this address will be used to contact you. This is also the prerequisite to have permanent access to your study data.
System settingsThe University of Innsbruck uses a newsletter system to send you emails. You can therefore decide by yourself for which topics you wish to receive emails. However, you cannot unsubscribe from mailings by the Admission Department.

You must submit an online application in order to be admitted to the University of Innsbruck. There are different procedures depending on the type of study programme.

Under My study programmes you find an overview of all your programmes with your curriculum and study status. By clicking Details/Enroll. you will receive more detailed information on your programmes.
Study confirmationsThe study confirmation confirms that you are an enrolled student at the University of Innsbruck. A study confirmation can be retrieved in English or German for all enrolled semesters. You may also enter an addressee to whom the confirmation will be presented.
If a specific study programme or semester is not available for download, the following reasons may apply:
- Proof of payment of the tuition fee has not yet been sent to the University of Innsbruck by the national tuition fee register.
- You are on leave of absence.
The admission record and the study record are complete listings of all study programmes that you have ever enrolled at the University of Innsbruck. The documents can be retrieved in English or German for all enrolled semesters.

My examinations
Exam results
Under LFU:online > My Exams > Exam Results you get detailed information on all exams that you have taken at the University of Innsbruck. If there are new exam results, you will be notified as soon as you log into LFU:online (e.g. "There are 2 new exam results.").
As soon as the exam results have been inserted into the official exams register by the Examinations Office, you may view them in LFU:online. According to the Universities Act 2002, exams must be graded and published in LFU:online within 4 weeks. If an exam result turns out to be wrong or missing, please refer to the examiner or the competent Examinations Office.
There are different icons for exam results in LFU:online.
Academic recordThe academic record is the official certificate containing all exam results and is available in English and German. You may select those exams which are to be printed on the record. If not all exams are printed there is a note saying This academic record is not a complete list of exams.
The academic record may be printed on a blank DIN A4 sheet of paper. If you need a sealed and signed copy, please refer to the Examinations Office. You can also produce an authentic version with a valid digital signature.
This is where you can transfer exams from an earlier version of a study programme to the current version of the same programme or from one study programme to another study programme.

LFU:online runs on all up-to-date web browsers. Thanks to responsive design, LFU:online is also optimised for use on mobile devices.
