summer semester 2025 | Last update: 06.05.2025 | Place course on memo listStudents acquire core competencies in planning and executing quantitative empirical research. They are able to critically evaluate the advantages and limitations of empirical research in the social sciences.
In the seminar, students will learn in a practical manner how to conceptualize and conduct quantitative empirical research. Further, they will be taught to critically evaluate empirical studies on the basis of quality criterias for research.
The aim of the seminar is to jointly conceptualize and conduct a quantitative online survey.
Methodical and theoretical contributions by the supervisor, group work, disscusions, concentrated study of research methods, joint work on a online survey
Students performances are evaluated on the basis of their participation in the seminar and research process and a short research report.
A list of relevant literature and course material will be provided on OLAT.
