This class discusses a variety of new and exciting developments in social epistemology, in order to answer questions on contemporary social epistemology.

We depend on other people for knowledge; this includes people we know, such as our parents, teachers, and friends, as well as people we don’t know, such as scientists and journalists. But other  people can also be sources of error. What sort of epistemological measures are suited to gaining knowledge instead of error from other people, and what does such knowledge look like? What obstacles are there between us and socially acquired knowledge?
