This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of academic research. It will cover numerous aspects of research, from using the university library and online resources effectively to writing a bibliography for a reseach paper. Students will learn how to find and organize information. They will also acquire the skills necessary for writing strong, cohesive and convincing research papers which follow MLA guidelines.

Lecture; assignments that will be completed in class and at home.

Written assignments, final exam (written).
