To achieve an advanced level of competence in various areas of medical translation.

Contents:

Understanding medical translation through discussion and practice of translation. A variety of topics and text types are examined, allowing students to pursue particular areas of interest.

Methods:

Weekly translation assignments, workshops, in-class exercises.

Assessment:

Weekly translation assignments, project with presentation, final exam.

Literature:

Material is provided in class and on OLAT.

Prerequisites:

Students must have successfully passed the BA exams in English.
