Electronic structure and materials properties

Students aquire knowledge about basic optical and electronic properties of different material types and about new materials, e.g. high-temperature superconductors and nanostructured materials. The students then apply their theoretical knowledge and practice the experimental determination of these material properties.
Metals, semiconductors, superconductors, correlated systems, nanomaterials; transport properties.
