800870 KU Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation focusing Sustainability & Climate Change
Sommersemester 2022 | Stand: 08.11.2022 | LV auf Merkliste setzen- Students are able to define the meaning of Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation with special respect to Sustainability & Climate Change.
- Students know about different perspectives about Social Entrepreneurship and complementary opportunistic assets which help to detect an opportunity and develop an idea of how to create a business for social change focusing on Sustainability & Climate Change.
- Students will consolidate their competence to work in international, interdisciplinary teams with stakeholder engagement to answer real questions (problem solving/transversal competence).
- Students are able to understand intricate societal problems (Impact Competences) and create innovative solutions for whicked probmels with an entrepreneurial mindset (Entrepreneurship Competence).
- Students are able to secure commitment from stakeholders (Engagement Competence)
- Thematic inputs from different academics related to the topic incl. “Green Deal”
- Students are asked to initiate an interdisciplinary/intercultural team formation process and start to think about a problem topic that they want to address with a social venture or proposed by the educators or sponsors
- The solution researched/ found will be presented and discussed with stakeholders and peers.
- Self-directed preparation, accompanied by three virtual meetings (March-June)
- Group work via social media platform and during the attendance phase (short term mobility) in Alpbach
- Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation as method for identifying and problem solving concerning Sustainability and Climate Change issues
- Special focus on specific SDGs
Assessment will be based on:
- individual (digital) pre-submissions
- group work (digital and during the short term mobility)
- individual reflection paper
Will be available via OLAT after successful registration
Max. number of participants: 24
The course is an Aurora Alliance (AURORA – Universität Innsbruck (uibk.ac.at)) event.
Students of all Aurora universities (incl. Master students of the University of Innsbruck) are invited to apply for participation in this course from January 07 till January 30 or until the maximum number of participants has been reached on a “first come, first served” basis at the following link: Universität Innsbruck – Universität Innsbruck (uibk.ac.at)
This course includes an obligatory short-term mobility (20.08. -02.09.22, to be confirmed), which is connected with an obligatory participation in the Forum Alpbach activities (https://www.alpbach.org/de/).
You will receive more detailed information, including mobility funding, at the latest after confirmation of your registration or admission to the course.
