After this lecture, you should be able to identify risky areas of your work and private life and to combine them in connection with your task as potential executive (e.g. by adjusting your managerial style and/or style of communication vis-à-vis higher management levels, etc.). You are not only responsible for your staff, but also for yourself. “Treat yourself responsibly!” But what does that mean in reality? How can you “stay out of it” and still “be part of it” in a strongly performance- and profit-oriented working environment? This lecture is also intended to give you time to face up to your own professional and private living situation in order to be able to position yourself well as a potential executive in your company and detect staff-related and/or structural problems in time.
This lecture will deal with the topic “burnout” on different levels. As a basis of this lecture, different scientific and theoretic approaches will be discussed and related with possible warning signs and symptoms.
