In the area of writing, students learn to produce clear, coherent, and well-structured texts and are introduced to key aspects of academic writing, including argumentation, organisation, source use, research practices, and citation conventions such as MLA and APA style. The course supports students in developing the language competence required for future teaching practice and professional communication in educational contexts.
This course introduces students to core reading and writing skills required for academic study in English. Students practise reading, understanding, and critically engaging with increasingly complex texts while developing strategies for identifying key ideas, analysing arguments, and responding appropriately to written material.
