winter semester 2013/2014 | Last update: 14.09.2023 | Place course on memo listThe students are able to understand and work with central concepts, basics, objectives and aims of media education.
Theoretical approaches of media education and its fields of practice will be discussed by looking onto selected approaches and questions of research. Besides important basics, special aspects, concepts and aims will be discussed. Comparing different approaches will reveal the state of the art in theory development in media education.
Presentations by the instructor; presentations by small groups; work in groups; analysis and discussion of important texts.
Presentation with accompanying paper.
