603014 Childhood and Education in an Heterogeneous Environment: Family Relationships in Change
winter semester 2013/2014 | Last update: 14.09.2023 | Place course on memo listThe students recognize the impact of family policy on gender and generation issues of a society.
Starting from the thesis that social reality is always based on its past, the social history of family, childhood and youth of the 19th century will be used as a starting point to reflect economic, social and political processes of change as well as individual and collective value orientations in terms of current familial life styles.
Lecture, discussion, movies, text reading – working out texts in small groups, presentations.
Regular attendance and active partizipation; presentation of text analysis in the plenum; presentation or final paper.
The required literature will either be placed onto the learning platform OLAT or the “Semesterapparat” (ULB).
