Korean with typological comparison to Japanese and Chinese in order to be able to construct simple sentences in all three languages by the ende of the course.

I will draw a comparison by juxtaposing Korean, Japanese and Chinese on a morphological and syntactiv level. I will give an overview over Chinese and Japanese characters as well as examples of the structure of each language on the basis of powerpoint and other matreial, groupwork on reading assignments. What is more, I will show lexical borrowings in Korean and Japanese from the Chinese language.

Apart from the beginners' course in Korean language, no prior knowledge of Chinese of Japanese necessary
