The acquisition of key qualifications needed for the successful completion of pro-seminars and seminars; the aquisition of communicative and presentational competences, knowledge and practical use of subject-specific working methods as well as the fundamental rules of academic work.

Providing basic skills and techniques of scholarly work; guided reading, guided writing, and guided performing; text analysis and comprehension, development of scholarly questions, excerpts and production of different genres of text, different techniques of presentation and introduction to the organization and formats of pro-seminar and seminar-papers; visit of libraries and/or archives.

Formal lectures, brief oral presentations, teamwork, discussion.

Course with continuous performance assessment; attendance at all sessions, oral presentation, reading; short written papers.
