Insights into the genomics of microorganisms

Contents:

During this course first experimental insights into working with genomic DNA from different organsisms (Bacteria, Archaea, Eukaryotes) will be given. Additionally functional tests on ribosomes isolated from the thermophilic bacteria Thermus aquaticus will be performed. Mainly classical molecular biology thechniques will be employed.

Remarks:

A preliminary meeting for all optional modules of the bachelor study in biology will be held on March 2, 2015 at 2 pm in lecture hall E.

It is obligatory to attend both parts (lecture, course) to pass the module.
