History of England/Scotland & Wales from the last years of King Charles I (+1649) to the death of King George II (+1760).

This course investigates the social, cultural and political history of the British Isles  from 1640 to approximately 1760. Major themes include the evolution of social structures; new cultural trends; changing political culture, ideologies and institutions as well as the relationship between these perspectives.

Intensive scientific/critical approach to secondary sources and literature; critical discussion of the relevant topics in an active group environment.
