Since Fukushima „Energiewende“ (energy transformation) is on everyone's lips. Technical and economic considerations, however, dominate the discourse while social dimensions are neglected. In this course we focus on the social challenges by linking the current energy transformation with former ones in the period of 1800 to 1950.

Seminar discussions, exercises and oral presentations.

Continuous assessment, regular and active participation in discussions, exercises and oral presentations, seminar paper.
