Ability to understand a research agenda of a concrete topic and to realize its memory in today`s public sphere.

We will focus on the Reformation process in Austrian territories and in Switzerland, due to histories of religious mentality and social movements. In the long run of the 16th century, religious ideas were transformed by politics of the authorities. We will both have in mind, looking also on the public memory of the reformation era.   

Presentations of the course instructor, discussion of relevant literature, preparation of the presentations of the excursion, individual feedbacks.

Participation in discussions, oral presentations and preparation of a handout and other material for the field trip.
