A combination of physiological, molecular and biochemical analyses will enable students to understand how and why plants respond to their fluctuating evironment.

Introductory lectures, practical stations in small groups, presentation of results and a one page summary report.

HPLC quantification of photosynthetic pigments in conjugation with chlorophyll fluorescence analysis. Measurement of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and antioxidants. Focus will be placed on algae.
