It shall be acquired knowledge about the theoretical foundations, the current state of research, objectives, tasks and fields of practice and the methodical forms of action in health psychology counseling

After an introduction to the subject area, the counseling and health related theoretical foundations of health psychology counseling will be presented. The exploration in health psychology will be shown in its theoretical and methodical foundations. Thereafter the behavioral, cognitive, resource-related and psychosocial health counseling are differentiated. The health exploration and selected standard methods of psychological health action models will also be tested practically in small working groups. Using examples the special health psychology counseling will also be mentioned. Finally, solutions to critical situations in health counseling and the problems and limitations of health psychology counseling will be discussed.
