It shall be acquired theoretical, methodical and practical-related knowledge about the foundations and problems of behavior modification.

After differentiating behavior modification and competing intervention strategies and a review of the history, the principles of learning theories and the current mainstreams of behavior modification, the standard methods of behavior modification will be presented. Thereafter the theoretical and practical problems of behavior modification related to the theory of science, ethics and social theory are presented and discussed. Based on small case studies and demonstrations the foundations and problems of behavior modification are specified and illustrated.
