Students are able to illustrate individual sections of the Austrian political system. They acquire in-depth knowledge in these sections and are able to individually work in other sections.
Students will acquire in-depth knowledge - supplemented by personal experiences - about the history of the Second Austrian Republic spanning more than seven decades from April 1945 to the end of 2016.
The course will highlight the changes in Austria´s economic and social structures, as well as the shifts in its constitution, party and media landscape, developements in parliamentarism, and - mainly due to Austria´s accession to the European Union in 1995 - shifts in Austrian foreign policy.
Oral presentation with the possibility to ask questions anytime.
written exam
positive completion of the module according to § 5 Para 1 No 1 and of the modules according to § 5 Para 1 No 2, 3, 6.
