Students will learn about typical translation processes while working on texts of a non-technical nature. Among other things, students will learn about text type conventions, choose adequate research tools and genre-specific texts, use adequate technological ressources, work as a team, implement proofreading measures, and work on their foreign language skills.

Texts comprising various fields, topics and genres

Students will produce content-focused translations of diverse texts with an emphasis on pratical application of skills.

Continuous assessment, two written tests and one homework assignments

Will be outlined in course

In order to participate in this course, students must have successfully completed Translation I, English - German and German - English, as well as Sight Translation I.
