Became acquainted with contemporary approaches in islamic religious thought with particular regard to the gender perspective. Gaining insight into the islamic feminist discourse on theological level. Raising awareness for the issue of patriarchal, androcentric interpretation of islamic sources and reception of the outstanding female personalities in islamic history.
New approaches in islamic theology with particular regard to the gender discourse; rereading of islamic sources from the gender perspective; distinctive features of the islamic feminist discourse.
Lecture, discussion, interactive elements.
Written examination.
Will be announced at the beginning of the session.
