The participants are able to appreciate diverse Alevi self-definitions. Furthermore they also able to appreciate the significance of Alevi doctrine within daily life of Alevi children.

The lecture gives an overview of Alevi self-definitions, the historical dimension, the central texts, the religious and cultural features of Alevsim. The lecture refers also to modifications within the Austrian context.
