Encountering a Buddhist teacher of religious education in Tyrol, the course aims at experiencing the convictions and faith expressions of Buddhists in Tyrol and Austria, respectively. Visits to Buddhist centres will broaden these experiences.

Based on central texts and experiences of the Buddhist tradition (in its origins and Austria) the course will introduce to the current situation of interreligious dialogue between Buddhists and Christians (the Catholic Church, respectively). Visits to Buddhist centres in Tyrol will deepen the lectures.

Presentations, discussions, encounters; first possibilities of actually experiencing Buddhism.

Written and oral exam.

Will be provided during the course.
