Competence in independent understanding of biblical and historical texts
Imparting and self-practicing of historical-critical methods of biblical exegesis as well as recent approaches of literary criticism; overview of the relevance of historical research as a part of theology and of the working with sources in church history and history of liturgy (finding the relevant sources, source criticism, source studies)
Short presentations, exercises, individual work
Participation in the course (compulsory attendance); short written exams.
