622005 PS Contemporary History: Comparative Regional Histories
summer semester 2018 | Last update: 21.02.2018 | Place course on memo listAcquisition of basic skills for dealing with historic sources and presentations of Contemporary History as well as skills in presenting the newly acquired knowledge in oral or written form.
This introductory seminar deals with the specifics of regional history and its positioning in national, international and transnational historical contexts.The PS work of the students will take a specific look at regional micro-historical events of the 20th and 21st century and discuss them in different contexts.
Readings, oral presentation with handout, paper, discussions, formal lecture, exercises
Course with continuous performance assessment: attendance at all sessions, active participation in discussions, oral presentation, paper (10-15 pp.)
Due to substantial differences in the allocation of ECTS-Credits in various curricula (teacher training programs/specialized degree programs), the requirements for this course vary. Information will be provided by the instructor at the beginning of the course.
