Acquisition of competences and a critical attitude in dealing with historical sources and representations of the History of Modern times as well as the ability to present the newly-acquired knowledge in oral and written form.
On the basis of selected texts, an insight into life, ceremonial, culture and the exercise of power in European princely courts from the 16th to the 18th century is given.
Preparatory phase, joint interpretation of source texts with presentations; OLAT.
Continuous participation, short presentations with discussions and handout; small written exam.
